I have been given a DVD+R copy of a wedding video and wish to copy it to my
HD and to make a copy to a DVD-R disk. I have been unable to make any
copies. How do I make copies?

I am running XP Pro with SP2 installed and Windows Media 10. The video runs
fine on my CD/DVD and DVD drives.

Any advice will be gratefully received.

Do you have DVD /CD authoring software?
There may be a way to do it with wmp, but I don't use it so am not sure.

I use Ahead's Nero 6, does a great job all around.
At one time they offered a trial version, you might check and see if they
still do, you could use the trial time to do what your wanting to do with
the wedding video.

What happens when you try to copy the files on the DVD to the HD (eg what
error messages if any)?

Thank you for replies. No error messages occur.

I will follow up the web sites recommended.

Thanks again

Note that it may be necessary to 'finalise' the DVD+R on the system
where it was made for you to be able to read it in a DVD-R drive

Because it reads fine in DVD+R people tend to forget to do so
