Cannot copy cookies from one folder to another

I am getting a new computer running WindowsXP Pro, and I want to be able to
copy my current cookies into the new IE6. When I try to copy them, however,
I get a pop-up that says my current security settings prohibit me from
moving or copying these files. How do I get around this? Thanks for any
input.

No need to go that route, simply launch IE and click on File > Import and
Export Wizard, then Export your cookies to a floppy disc. It will be a
file called Cookies.txt. This file can then be Imported into the new
system using the same Wizard and your cookies will be recreated with your new user ID.

You may want to follow the same routine with the Favorites, if case you have many special website URLs saved.
