cannot connect wirelessly from a non-administrator account

I have winXP Pro, service pack 1a, with the wireless update rollup
(KB826942) applied.

I have several user accounts on the machine; all except one are
limited (non-administrator) accounts. When I log in with an
administrator account the wireless connection works perfectly.
However, when I log in on any other account the wireless connection
fails.

My wireless hardware is a Motorola WPCI810G 802.11g PCI card
connecting to a Motorola Wireless Access Point WA840G. When I login to
the non-admin account, the Motorola tray applet indicates the radio is
not enabled. Furthermore, clicking on "Enable Radio" does nothing. It
silently fails.

Motorola tech support insists this is a problem with Windows but none
of the knowledge base articles I found seems to address it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks,
greg

What you may have to do is change all your accounts to
admins, configure the wireless connection, then set the
accounts back to limited. (I sometimes have to do this to
install apps.)
