Cannot connect to Windows XP sp1 pc to Manage

I am having the exact symptoms that are describe in
Knowledge bas article 819625. I cannot manage a Windows
XP sp1 pc... I get the error The network path was not
found. I can ping by name and can get to all other
resources on the network. I just need to make a users
domain account a local admin.

HELP!
