Cannot connect to VPN after upgrade to XP Professional

Hello and help
I have installed XP Professional in Spanish on my PC, replacing the previously-installed German version. Now I find that I cannot connect to a VPN

When I go to "Connect to the network at my workplace" in an attempt to make a new connection to the VPN network in my house, neither the option "dial-up connection" or "VPN connection" is active. Therefore, I can go no further

Do I need to install a new VPN client driver, and if so, where do I get it from?
Or is something else wrong

Any suggestions would be most appreciated

I had the same problem at work. Only solution was to disable XP's built in firewall. Works now.
