Cannot connect to Remote Desktop - could before

Hi, I have a broadband internet connection with a router
and several PCs sharing the connection.

My Desktop PC with Windows XP Home could previously
connect to the my Work's Terminal Server through Remote
Desktop Connection. This evening I've tried connecting
and am getting the following message:

Remote Desktop Disconnected
The Client could not establish a connection to the remote
computer.
The most likely causes for this error are:
1)Remote connections might not be enabled at the remote
computer.
2) The maximum number of connections was exceeded at the
remote computer.
3) A network error occured while establishing the
connection.

At first I just thought the Work server was down so I
tried my laptop (Windows 2000) and that connected OK. The
Same Remote Desktop Connection client software was used.
I've also tried another laptop (with WinXP) and that also
conneced OK.

I've also tried connecting on my desktop through the
Remote Desktop Web connection with a similar error.

I have McAfee Firewall, and have tried with it with
Filtering off (allow all) and with the firewall stopped
altogether.

The internet connection on my desktop otherwise seems OK.

Does anyone have any ideas what causes this error?

I have the same exact problem, which seemed to begin
about 3 weeks ago, after I downloaded the latest windows
security update. I would also appreciate any advice on
this.

try clearing your Terminal Server licence in the registry. plenty of places on the web to find out how to do this. If it works, you will have to do the same thing every once in a while, whenever it expires.

I got mine working again. It was either of these:
Uninstalled terminal services and web services and deleted the tsweb in the
iis.
OR
after reinstalling I left the IP address to the default "all or any"
