Cannot connect to network wirelessly

I am working on a laptop that connects to a Windows 2000 Server domain
controller. XP Pro on the laptop got corrupted so the OS was re-installed.
Afterwards, I hard wired the laptop into the network to re-join the domain.
I then tried to connect wirelessly but am now unable to browse the network.
I re-installed XP using the same machine name and user account. No changes
have been made to the server or wireless router, only to the laptop.

Does anyone know why I cannot browse the network with a wireless connect
where I was previously able to and what it takes to resolve the issue?

Thanks for any assistance that you may provide.

You have to take one step at a time to get connectivity:
1. Is your wireless adapter enabled or disabled?
2. Does it see your wireless network?
3. Does it authenticate with your access point?
4. Does it get an address from your DHCP server, or if the
address is assigned manually, is this address within the
correct subnet?
5. Can you ping your server?
6. Can you make a connection to a server share, using this
command: net use q: \\YourServer\SomeShare

There is no point in wondering about Step 6 unless you have
checked each and every one of the preceding steps.
