Cannot Connect to Internet through ethernet cable

I cant connect to the internet through my ethernet cable connect but i can
connect through my wireless connection. Nothing lights up it says limited or
no connectivity next to the icon.

1. Swap out the ethernet cable for a known-working one. Test. If no joy,
2. Try the cable in a different port on the router. Test. If no joy,
3. Swap out the network adapter for a known-working one. Test.
