I cannot connect the network printer,so i type \\ipaddress in
start->run,and shows cannot find network address, meanwhile i run netstat -an
in the cmd window.It shows:
proto local address foreign address state
tcp 192.168.0.17:1050 192.168.0.91:80 syn_sent
192.168.0.91 is the computer's ip address which i want to connect. Why my
computer use 80 port to connect the network printer instead of 139 port?
A very strange case what i have never met.Can anyone tell me what the
problem is?
Thanks in advance.

Try 192.168.0.91 in the address bar of IE. Probably will take you to the
printer configuration.

You will need to add the port during the printer install.
from the 'add Printer' wizard select local printer and untick automatically
detect..... click next
click create a new port and select standard tcp/ip port and click next
click next then type in the IP address of your printer, click next
select custom and click settings, change port to 139 click OK and then
Finish
then finish the Add New Printer wizard in the normal way.

Good luck, let us know how you get on.
