Cannot Close Archive Folder

Windows XP Pro SP1
Outlook 2003

I have deleted an old archive, but when I open outlook it
still shows the archive folder. When I try to remove it
I get an error message which says "Operation Failed,
object cannot be found". I'm not surprised, I deleted
the PST. Any suggestions for getting rid of the archive
folders? I did close it before I deleted the file but it
still seemed to want to hang around.

Can you remove it by going to Control Panel-> Mail-> button Data Files...?

It is not there. I only have my new archive file and my
personal folders files listed in that menu.

Then your profile got corrupted. You can recreate it in Control Panel->
Mail-> button Show Profiles...
