Hello,

I get this error when booting up on Win 2K.
***STOP: 0x0000007B
(0xF741B84C,0xC0000034,0x00000000,0x00000000)
INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE

I cannot get into safe mode or anything. I try booting
from the W2K CD but it hangs after it goes thru the
setup. I am assuming W2K doesnt like the replacing the
MB. I need help to figure a way to get W2K to start up
and

I just went through this 2 days ago...
Suspecting my system drive was dying a slow death... I cloned it to my
backup system drive, and booted from the backup.

Got the same error.
Very puzzling, since this procedure has been my "fail-safe" for 2 years now.

So, I reloned the original system drive to a
brand-new-just-out-of-the-anti-static-bag drive....
....booted with THAT... and system started perfectly.

Clearly, my back-up drive is failing... and needs a complete overhaul.
This is not the exact answer to your problem, but I think it will point you
in the right direction.

Also, take a look at this recent post regarding Master Boot Record:

No I have not. I thought I could just replace the MB and
CPU and then W2K would set itself or ask for drivers.
Obviously not.

Greetings --

Normally, unless the new motherboard is virtually identical to the
old one (same chipset, IDE controllers, etc), you'll most likely need
to perform a repair (a.k.a. in-place upgrade) installation, at the
very least (and don't forget to reinstall any service packs and
subsequent hot fixes):

If you can temporarily restore your old motherboard then
you may be able to rescue your existing Win2000 installation.
Post again if this is an option.
