I have two hard drives in my system. I think one of them
is dying....occasionally W2k hangs at boot up and I can
hear odd noises from one of the drives. I unplugged the
second drive (non system drive) to see if it was this one
and found that W2k wouldn't boot at all....blue screen of
death with message about missing file or driver. Plug
second drive back in and it boots.

Is it possible that during the install some of the files
W2K needs have got onto the second drive. How can I get
around this?

Thanks

- Post the exact name of the missing driver.

- Carefully examine the second drive for hidden files in
the root directory, and for folders that might relate to Win2000.

- Download and run the diagnostic program that the manufacturer
of your second disk makes available on his home site.
