cannot back up outlook 2007 os vista home

error message 0x80070021: the process cannot access the file because another
process has locked a portion of the file. How do I unlock the file or do
something to allow me to back up pst file with the back up tool?

Often caused by an addin or desktop search tool, and possibly that the
outlook.exe process is not actually terminating - check task manager,
processes for outlook.exe
 
Do not use Vista Backup for Outlook files. Download and use Outlook Backup
instead from Office Downloads. It will put a backup selection on the File
menu.
