Cannot access the Control Panel Options

I cannot access the control panel options. All of the
icons are showing. Clicking any of them returns
msg "windows cannot access the specific device, path or
file, you may not have appropriate permissions to access
item. This is a one-user system (Windows ME) and the
windows logon works fine. I have Microsoft Internet
Explorer 6. All apps run fine. Any ideas?

You really need to post your question to one of the Windows ME newsgroups,
all of which start with:

microsoft.public.windowsme

This group is devoted to Microsoft Access, the database development product.
