Cannot access "Shared Documents" files, receive "Access Denied"

I set up a wireless network between two computers. I was going to try and move information from "My Documents" on the old computer to the new one. Since I could not share "Documents and Settings" I moved files from "My Documents" to the "Shared" folder. This move removed the files from "My Documents" and placed them in "Shared".

Even though I am still on the same computer, I now cannot access any of the files or folders in the "Shared" folder. I can see all of the files and folders, but cannot enter any of them. I get error messages saying that the folder is not accessable, access denied. I am logged on as administrator but I am still not being allowed to do anything

How do I allow access to these files??

If you have XP Home you have to boot in safe mode to get the security
tab.
