cannot access folder or IE6

Whenever I attempt to access IE6 or any folders on my
desktop (including My Computer and Networks) I receive
the following error: This module was compiled with a
trial version of Delphi. The trial period has expired.

I do nothave trial software on my PC and I do not have
Delphi and I do not program.

I have tried repairing XP, as suggested by Microsoft help
but no success.i have tried rewinding to each of the last
ten install points but no succcess. I have swept for
viruses but everything comes up clean.

Apart from a clean install (which I am reluctant to do) -
I would welcome any sensible suggestions ...
