Cannot access directory even as administrator.

Somehow I doubt I will get an answer to this here. But ill
ask anyway. Today, a bizzare problem cropped up. I am
unable to access two directories on our windows 2000
server, server. Even logged as administrator, at the
actual machine itself, I am unable to do anything. I cant
even change persmissions or ownership on these two
directories. Anybody have any clue as to whats going on
here?
 
try to take the owner ship of the parent directory and then attempt to
access your directories
