Mike

When I click on my "D: Drive" icon in "My Computer", I am
prompted to install "DVDit!", some DVD player software.
I am unfamilar with how to reset the link to open my D:
Drive. This problem makes it very difficult to get to my
files without going through a long process of opening
other programs to access the drive. Please let me know
anything that may be of use.
Thanks.

By your post I can only assume that your D drive is a hard drive. Right click the drive and choose explore, look for a file called
autorun.inf and delete it. Sounds like someone copied the contents of a CD to the root of the drive.
