cancelled operation

When I click on Tools - Internet Options I get a message This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions placed on this computer. Contact your system administrator. I am the system admin. Does any one know how this happened? Thank you Ellen
 
It also might have occurred if you are running Spybot
Search And Destroy,and elected to "lock" your I.E.
settings.
In this instance,either remove the check/tick you placed
in the box within Spybot.Alternatively,access I.E.
Internet Connections settings via the control panel.

Thank you for the help. I do run Spy Bot and that was the problem. How nice to know that it was something so simple. I am beginning to think that 1/2 of the problems that people have are just programs that conflict or just don't talk to each other
