Cancel Windows XP repair

Hi, I need to cancel a Windows XP repair.

I got the 0x24 blue screen (ntfs.sys) and I tried a repair, the problem is
that it got freeze in the blue screen, soo not a good idea

Then I found a post about using ntfsfix in a Knoppix environment (See link
below).
It work like a charm, very nice TID, but now my problem is that the blue
screen was solve and the repair just want to do what is was ask to do and
it crash with the error "No signature was present in the subject".

The repair is just at "preparing installation" and crash just before
"installing Windows".

So the question is: is there a way to Cancel the repair installation ?

Sounds like that you don't want the Boot Menu to come which asks you what to
do. Start Windows XP or Windows XP Setup and the default choice is XP Setup
and you always have to do change the option to logon on to working Windows.

1. Right-click on My Computer and choose Properties.
2. Click the Advanced tab and click Settings button under Startup and
Recovery options.
3. Under "Default Operating System" select the OS you want to start each
time and make it your default selection.
4. Now, uncheck the option "Time to display list of operating system"
5. Apply the changes.

If you are an advanced user then you click the Edit button below and can
modify the Boot.ini file. But it is only recommended if you know that which
line to remove otheriwse you will left in pain.
