cancel out of office notification

The same place you would have enabled Out of Office in the first place ...in
tools | out of office assistant.

If you don't connect to an Exchange server, you don't have this option -
which means you'd either have to use autoreply rules, or see whether your
ISP/mail host offers a similar feature
