Can you specify multiple styles in one StyleRef?

Hi,
I have two level 1 Headings in my document - "Heading 1" and "UHeading1".
I can set up a StyleRef field code to pick up Heading 1 so that it appears
in the document header. However, I can't seem to specify multiple styles in
one StyleRef field so that the header will pick up either Heading 1 or
UHeading 1, depending on which may be on a page.
Is this possible?
Thanks for any help.

Select a word in one of your your headings. Format > style > new create a
*character* style that adds something that doesn't affect the underlying
appearance eg change the language to no proofing. You can then apply that
style to both your pre-formatted headings. Their appearance should stay the
same but styleref based on your new style will pick either entry whichever
comes first.

A character style doesn't have to change anything. It can be exactly
"Default Paragraph Font +"
