Can you refuse to accept email from an unwanted sender?

I am recieving a lot of smap emails. they are not sirectly addressed to my
email address but addresses are similar. I have already set up Microsoft
outlook to send them directly to delete folder if not addressed directly to
me. However, is there a way to block a sender completely. I know I can
relegate a sender to junk email bu t I still receive multiple messages from
these senders. I would like a way to refuse to accept their spam.

outlook has no way of filtering it on the server - if your email account
supports server side filtering, you can block it there. Otherwise, you have
to download it and delete it (or use a program like mail washer to delete it
before you check the mailbox with outlook.)

Then you're being BCC'd on the message.

No - Outlook will download everything in your POP mailbox (I'm presuming
you're using POP?). So unless your webhost/ISP offers you the option to
block senders directly at the server, the only other option would be to use
something like MailWasher (still available? I don't know...) or check your
mail on your ISP's webmail page, or www.mail2web.com - pretty clunky.

What version, SP & mode (if applicable) of Outlook are you using? Always a
good idea to include that in any post. You can find it in help | about - and
also include the kind(s) of mail accounts you use.

Might want to check out SpamBayes (google it) for a pretty intelligent spam
filter. It will of course act only after the mail is downloaded, but it will
help keep your inbox pretty clean. It learns as it goes. It's free - no harm
in tryign it.
