Can you ensure that e-mails are opened in the order they're rec'd?

I'm trying to set something up on a shared e-mail account to ensure that an
e-mail can only be opened if there are no earlier-receive e-mails still
unopened. Have had a look, but can't see any of the tools available which
would enable me to do this - anyone have any suggestions?

Nope, but you could achieve that with some VBA. I'm not sure what you are
trying to achieve with this but realise that you can easily work around it
by just marking all messages as Read in one go.

Or by hiring someone to build a client from scratch (which isn't as hard as
it sounds, you only need IMAP functionality.. well, and probably smtp). =)

Haha, yeah, create your own mail client just for that? Receiving mail is
one, managing it, responding to it etc... is a whole different thing which
adds a lot to the complexity. Let alone troubleshooting an exotic mail
client. It would be a fun hobby project but (no offense) you'll be laughed
out of the building in the corporate world.
