is there a way to ad more phone number spaces in outlook 2003

Open a contact - select All Fields

Available phone number fields are listed under <Phone Number Fields>
Available fax number fields are listed under <Fax/other number fields>

If your question was "Can I add more phone number fields to the main Contact
detail screen" - you will need to create a custom form and add whatever
fields you need (either existing standard Outlook or user-defined custom
fields)

The above applies to all versions of Outlook.
