Can XP Pro handle Multi-Processor?

Another question. IS anyone using XP 64?

How will it function as a regular desktop PC. I find myself writing a lot of
custom code used in house to run Stats and do Trend Analysis I'm getting
sick and tired of watching the % bar creep at .001% per minute as all of the
data is run. And YES the code is as compact as possible. Just way to much
data.
