Do you mean, can you upgrade the P4 CPU in a Dell 4500 and does anyone have the drivers for the 652 lucent chipset? It took me ages to figure out that sentance?

You can upgrade the CPU in any recent Dell, but it depends on if it is actually worth it - what are your current system specs?

Are the 652 lucent drivers for a modem?

sorry for the cryptic msg. what I ment to say was, Can you upgrade the standerd p4 in a dell 4500s, my system is standerd with the exeption of 2Gb of memory, my os is xpsp3. Would it be possable to upgrade the cpu?,and like you said would it be worth it ? should I just buy or build new ? Any help would be greatly appreciated. THNX P.S. yes, the driver I needed was for a modem, but I scrapt it.

Yes you can, no it's not worth it.

We seem to have had a spate of these today. How odd.

XP has a Service Pack 3?

Really?

I best check that out.
