I have a Toshiba Satallite A75 S206 notebook. I started havin
problems with the CD Drive not being recognized. I could turn of
the notebook and let it cool down and then reboot and see the drive.
Now this won't even work. Any suggestions if this is actually
hardware problem, a compatability problem, or possibly a problem i
the bios

I didn't see any reference to this on the Toshiba site but my son i
law has the same notebook and the same exact problem

Sounds like the drive has died. One way to check is if you have a
restore cd, put it in and shut down. Hold the c key down and boot, if
it boots off the cd the drive may be okay.
