Which hard drive for laptop?

Howdy,

I have an HP ze5400 series laptop that needs a new hard drive. It
has a Toshiba 60gb in it now. I ordered one from NewEgg cause they
had two Toshiba 60 gigers. One was a SATA and the other was a Serial
ATA, which I now know are the same damn thing!!!! I got the wrong
one. So, obviously, I need to order an IDE hard drive, but the only
thing I can find (with a reasonable price) are ATA-6 drives. Is this
the same interface as a Ide or PATA for a laptop?? Will it work for
this laptop? This is the one I'm looking at:

Thanks.

Yes. Just find one for IDE, EIDE, PATA, or ATA.

A 5400 RPM laptop HD is middle of the road. If you want performance, go for a
7200 RPM HD. Stay away from the 4200 RPM cheapies.

Thanks, John. That clears that up. It looked for a minute there like
hard drives were going the AMD route of model obfuscation. Thanks
again.
