Can someone tell me what this is?

Ok, I ran into this site and saw something call JD software,
could someone tell me what it is about? It seems like it runs
in window, but what is JD800? Sound very interesting.

The JD800 does not have an internal function for
generating a patch at random, so I wrote this program to
create not random patches, but entire random banks!

This program does not include any midi communications - you
will still need to use a program to send the sysex file
created to the JD800 (the patch organiser further down this
page works well if you're using Windows). "

This looks like something made especially for musicians which use these
JD keyboards, and like to reprogram then. Obviously, a full set of
sounds (one for each key or so), is called a "bank"

A patch is an instrument sound, a bank is a whole set of patches.

It creates new sounds for your soundcard, which can be used by midi
standard players or sequensers when you play or compose midi
compositions.

If you don't have a Roland JD-800 programmable synthesizer then it
doesn't apply to you. If you do have one, then its purpose should be
clear.

Actually it creates new sounds for a Roland JD-800 programmable
synthesizer.
