** Wab from Outlook Express into Outlook Address Book"

Hello,

I need to bring up my Address book list, with subfolders
and all, from Outlook Express into Outlook Address Book.

I am starting to use Outlook as my Email client, but I am
having problems with importing the files.

I already imported the Emails, no problem.

When I try importing to the address book, I get nothing!
As a matter of fact I had "some" addresses in Outlook
already, but now that I tried importing, those disapear.
I do have all my data in my Contacts, but need my complete
WAB file, with subfolders and all.

I use Win2000 with Office XP SP3

Thank you very much.

AFAIK, Outlook can only import and OE can only export contacts from the Main
folder in the Windows Address Book, not from subfolders.

Hello,
Thank you for your reply.
I understand now that it will only import from the main
folder. But mine is NOT importing ANYTHING!
As a matter of fact, it reads how many records are there,
and it saves the message with the number of records in my
Inbox, but it does NOT import ONE RECORD. Not even the
ones on the main contact list.
Another question. In Outlook, will the records be saved
as a WAB file or a different kind?

Thank you for your reply. I appreciate it.

Regards,

Amorosa

Outlook stores all its data in a Personal Folders .pst file. Default file
location information is at http://www.slipstick.com/config/backup.htm

Try exporting from OE to a .csv file, which you can then import into
Outlook.
