Can send but not Receive

sing Outlook 2007 with Xp and Verizon FIOS I began getting an error message
as follows:
"Task Incoming Verizon.net, Reciving reported error (0x800300fd), Unknown
error." This message keeps popping up even when Outlook is closed.

Verizon tech support confirmed that I can both send AND receive on the email
section of their website, Verizon Central, but I cannot receive in Outlook.

We verified password settings and concluded that something is wrong with
Outlook.

Please help.

Are you using any sort of synchronization software (for a handheld)? Is your
AV software configured to scan incoming and outgoing email? Do you have Fax
software installed? Third party toolbars or desktop searches? Does your
Firewall specifically allow Outlook.exe?

Have you cleared out your Temp folders:
1. Click Start, click Run, type temp, and then click OK.
2. Clear the contents in the Temp folder.
3. Delete all the files from the Recycle Bin.

Ihave exactly the same problem of Len (no fax or handhels connection, no
firewall or AV problem settings).
The solutions you are suggesting Kathleen seems to work for Outlook 2003 but
not for 2007. Creating a new profile resolves the problem, but in my case
that means to douwnload again more than 3000 messages; with the possibility
to have this problem back again!
I.ve tried reinstalling Outlook, reparing and upgrading it, but nothing works.

Why are you redownloading so many messages? After you recreate the profile,
use File > Open to connect it to your PST file.

Unfourtunately it´s not a matter of space. I´ve tried also moving old
archives to archive folder.

I did it but anyway outlook starts redownloading everything from my two
accounts (yahoo mail and a paid one) duplicating the folder PST. I had a
similar problem when I got Outlook 2003, I remember that I had to use ODIR
soft to find the duplicates, delete them all and repair the PST folder with a
Microsoft special tool.
Why the new profile doesn´t recognize the already downloaded mails?

You should remove the option to "leave messages on server", so that any
messages you download are deleted from the server.

If you want a backup,set a rule to forward all messages to e.g. a gmail
account.

The act of creating a new mail profile will reset the UID information
Outlook keeps for determining which messages have and which haven't been
downloaded. Attaching the existing PST won't affect that.

WHat I'd do is to create a new PST to go along with that new mail profile,
make it the delivery location, allow all the old messages to download to it,
then switch the delivery location back to the original PST, deleting the one
where all the duplicate messages downloaded.

Because by creating a new mail profile you reset the memory that keeps track
of what has and hasn't been downloaded.
