Can receive, but can't send emails

I recently installed Verizon broadband service on my notebook. I am unable
to send email, but I receive it ok. When I am on a different wireless
connection on the same notebook, my email works fine. Is there something
that I need to do to get the Verizon wireless connection to send email?

I also was getting an error message everytime I closed Outlook. The message
was "compile error in hidden module:autoexec." I was able to fix this error,
but I am wondering if these two issues are related.

The error messages that I receive are:

The operation timed out waiting for a response from the sending (SMTP) server.

If you are trying to send mail via a server other than your ISP, you are
trying to relay mail. Mail relay is not allowed by most ISPs to reduce
spam.

I read that LT resolved that error.............how did you do it?
