Can see PDF in Preview tab, but not in browser

I have 2000. I can see my PDF (produced in Acrobat 5) with the preview tab,
but I cannot see anything in preview in browser. The page loads blank this
way. Going through Files - Preview in Browser doesn't work either. Also, what
do the blank icons under Name in the contents area under Folders indicate?
The PDF file shows blank in this list.

Thanks

You may want to check and see if there isn't an Acrobat Reader window hidden
somewhere. Reader is a real pain about having their auto-update window show
up, but show up behind the browser, where of course you can't see it or
click on it to activate the window. Sometimes you can right-click on the
task bar icon of your active browser, select minimize, see if the window
shows up and if not, right-click and select maximize and then see.

Hope this helps,

Thank you, Mark, for your reply. Actually, shortly after my post I discovered
the culprit. I haven't put PDF on my site since upgrading to XP IE6. The
security bar at the window top was causing the page to hide. I let my post
stand because I still would like to know about the white page (blank page)
icons in files names list under Folders. Do you know why the one
corresponding to this PDF file is blank. The other blank ones are simply file
data in notepad. I'm not sure of their function, so I haven't done anything
with them.

Thanks

Do other pdf files on your puter show with the correct Adobe icon?
Did you Import the pdf into FP first?

You may need to use TweakUI to repair your system Icons.

Hi,

All pdf files elsewhere on the machine have the proper icon and I didn't
import the pdf into FP first.

What do you think?

Delete the existing pdf from within your FP web, then Import it back in -
try re-naming it first (for good luck).
