Can reply but not send new messages

I recently installed Office 2007 running on Windows XP. I find that I am
able to receive messages and reply to messages without a problem. However, I
am unable to send a new message that I originate myself. I get error message
0x800CCC80 'None of the authentication methods supported by this client are
supported by your server'.

If you can offer any guidance on how to resolve this problem, I would be
most grateful.

Incorrect server settings in your account properties. Get the correct
settings from your Internet provider. You might have secure server settings
selected that your provider does not use.
