I can recieve messages from Yahoo! and BellSouth (POP3) but I can not send
(SMPT) through Outlook. I folllowed the advice from Outlook Help but it
didn't help and now I am using this forum. Please help!!!!
The error message reads: The specified server found but there was no
response from the server. Please verify that the port and SSL information is
correct.

What happens when you try? What version of Outlook?

When you set up your account,

On page 4/4 , click on Options...then on page 2/3

check the box to 'Authenticate outgoing mail'

in OUTLOOK go to your email account settings, click on More Settings, click

This Yahoo help page may help:

http://help.yahoo.com/help/us/mail/pop/pop-28.html
Microsoft Outlook 2002 (XP) & 2003

If it does, there may be some similar requirements (authentication or port
number) for Bellsouth.

So are your SSL and port settings correct? Have you disabled any email
scanner you may have installed?
