Can Outlook mail to groups defined in LDAP directory?

I know Outlook (and Express) can be set up to look up
indivudual people in a LDAP directory. Can Outlook mail
to groups defined in a LDAP directory? If so, where can I
find information on the configuration, schema used, etc?

Or is Outlook limited to using groups defined in the local
address book?

In this case, my customer is using IBM Directory Server,
but I would hope the answer is generic.

Most LDAP servers are based on the LDAP protocol, but they use their own,
customized schemas to allow for their different supported object and class
types.

I'm not that familiar with IBM's enterprise server offerings, but I assume
you're referring to IBM's LDAP for iSeries. According to their site, V5R2
added a few enhancements to group capabilities, but it sounds as if it's
supported groups for some time now. Unless there are some knowledgeable LDAP
gurus monitoring this that can help you with the physical, schema info,
you'll probably have to check in on IBM's site. I just did a search for LDAP
and Groups on www.ibm.com and came up with about 81,000 hits, so the info is
probably there, somewhere.
