Hi,

I have Outlook 2000 SR1 that is using an active directory LDAP server. Using
contacts this works fine, but distribution groups do not send mail does not
send to the users in the group.

Is there a way I can send emails to distribution groups without using
exchange

Are you using Corp or Internet mode? See help, about if unsure.
Are the DLs in the LDAP directory? If you create them in contacts do they
work?

Im using corp,

I have created the contacts in ldap and they work fine, and I have created
the distro groups (domain, global, and univ) and all three will show up in
outlook but when I send an email to the distro groups (not the individual
contacts), it never sends to the contacts in the distro.

In doing reasearch I was trying to figure out if the exchange schema
extentions for mail-enabled attributes is what makes the difference in these
groups.

BTW When I use just regular contacts (from outlook contacts), the disrto
list works fine. Is there any settings in adsiedit that I can change that
will enable this to work or are DL's supported with distro groups using
outlook client and just AD distro groups?
