Can outlook email templates be locked?

Hi all.

Using Outlook 2007.

Creating some basic outlook templates (.oft) for a customer to use (like
letterheads & footers).

Once created is there any way to lock these (like you can do in excel - did
it a while ago) so when opened the user can only type in a designated area
and not remove anything from the template?

TIA! :)

What exactly are you trying to achieve?
Letterheads & footers should be placed in Stationery and not in oft-files.

Ok, but is there a way i can setup Outlook to use these like a template?

The application is really for members of different offices to send out
emails with company letterheads/footers/wordart on all outgoing emails.

The signature feature looks like its for 'business cards' or such at the
bottom of emails rather than say, the compant name/address/logo at the top.

TIA :)

Stationery is a type of template. I do not get the question.
Create your stationery and configure your clients/instruct your users to use
it.

I guess my way of describing it wasn't really that clear! Sorry!

How would i setup Outlook to create a new message/reply with a background,
headers and footers from a previously setup "template". Rather than just a
'signature' on the bottom?

I hope that makes it clearer!? :)

Did you find a solution to your template problem? I am looking to do the
exact same thing and haven't found any solution. Would really appreciate any
insight.

Thanks
