Can Outllook 2007 and Office 2003 live together in peace?

I would like to install Outlook 2007 and OneNote 2007 on my laptop (replacng
OL 2003 and ON 2003), but not upgrade the other Office 2003 applications such
as Word, Excel, and Powerpoint. I was going to do this by purchasing the
stand-alone versions of ON and OL 2007. Will the 2007 programs live in
harmony with the 2003 programs, or am I asking for trouble? Thanks for any
insight.

Depends on what you mean by "harmony". You'll lose some of the Office
integration features.
