Can only print with Administrator logon

I have a user who I have given local Admin rights to on his Dell laptop
(Windows 2000 O/S). He has an HP DeskJet printer that is connected to the
parallel port on this laptop. The printer, until recently, has worked fine.
I uninstalled it and reinstalled it and found that it only prints with the
Administrator logon. No matter what I do he cannot print while loged in as
himself. I have given him Administrator access and privilages to this
device with no results. Any ideas?

Have a look here and check the permissions-- the article mentions NT4 but
I'd assume it needs to be the same for 2000

I've seen this too on DeskJet printers-- they often don't like to behave
under non-admin accounts.
