Can Not turn off XP pro firewall

I am trying to turn off the XP firewall on both pc's on my network. In Lan
properties, I do not have an advanced tab, any other way to turn it off via
registry etc? What might cause the tab to disappear?
 
You need administrator privilege for the Advanced tab to show up (i.e. you
must be logged on as the Administrator, or as some user that is a member of
the Administrators group).
