can not see all data in drag down

When I have data in Excel (3900 line items) and I attempt to sort for data in
a specific column, it all gives me so many rows (we will say 1900 for
instance). How is this corrected, or is it system default.
 
Could be you have a blank row in your database, could be your sorting range
is set to less than your full database........
