Beth

I am trying to remove a program from my computer. I go to
Control Panel....then Add/Remove Program....scroll through
my list of programs and hi-lite the one I want to delete.
The CHANGE and REMOVE buttons are gray'd out.

I use to be able to remove programs this way....maybe one
of my kids did something.

Any recommendations on how to get this feature back so I
can remove a program?

Thanks

Are you logged in as an administrator? Perhaps your kids changed your
permissions to a mere user.

I had a similar problem.
I followed Torgeir's instructions through step 4 of
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;EN-US;266668, carefully
re-creating the missing first five registry entries listed in step 3 of that
document. These actions corrected both of the problems.

Hi

From the "Run" box try

regsvr32 %windir%\system32\appwiz.cpl

and
regsvr32 %windir%\system32\webvw.dll

and
regsvr32 %windir%\system32\mshtml.dll

You might try to reinstall IE, the article above also tells you how to do that.

See tip 6032 at http://www.jsiinc.com/reghack.htm as well

If this doesn't help, try to reinstall the OS service pack you already have
installed (or install a newer one if possible).

If the problem persists, you'll could do an in-place upgrade of the OS and see
