Can not receive incoming emails on pop3, cam you help!!!

I keep getting the following message apearing when i try and receive incoming
mail



The connection to the server has failed. Account: 'window mail', Server:
'pop.orangehome.co.uk', Protocol: POP3, Port: 995, Secure(SSL): Yes, Socket
Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E,

Has any one got any sugestions, my outgoing serve is smtp.orangehome.co.uk
and this seems to work. My incoming server pop.orangehome.co.uk which does
not work.

Sue, I notice in your message that you state, My incoming server
pop.orangehome.co.uk. Should that not be pop3 and not pop on it's own? Just a
thought.

Your POP3 Server name is correct, do *not* change that as was proposed
earlier!

Go to tools>accounts>select your Orange account>properties>advanced
tab>change the Incoming server port to 110 and remove the checkmark from
SSL>OK/Apply.

Why did you change the port numbers, have you been trying to set up a gmail
account?
