Can't recieve emails

I've set up my Windows Mail account and can send email, but cannot recieve
it. Have tried a couple things.
I unticked the 'Log on using a Secure Password Authentication' but then when
trying to log on, I would type in the correct password/username but nothing
would happen, and the log on in box would just re-appear.
Then selected the 'This server requires a secure connection (SSL)' on the
incoming mail (POP3) as I read this should help, but didn't.

So now I'm left with this error message:
The connection to the server has failed. Account: '(e-mail address removed)',
Server: 'pop.orangehome.co.uk', Protocol: POP3, Port: 995, Secure(SSL): Yes,
Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

Anyone got any ideas?

Use only the settings recommended by your provider:

That mail server doesn't support SSL or port 995. Use the standard
receiving port (110). If you still get an error with the correct settings,
post it here for further advice.
