can not receive email only send

I have just set up a new computer and with email I can
send and the test works fine but can't pull in any of my
email. I checked with my internet provider and they said
I have it setup correct. I use Office XP outlook 2002.
Any suggestings since I've tried everything and been to
MS knowledgebase and can't find anything there.

Does your ISP require that you set authentication on the outgoing server?
This is most often the problem. What is the error message you get when you
check your Test Account Settings errors?

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.
