I am having an issue previewing reports in Access 2003 which is installed on
a Win XP SP2 machine. When I click on the preview button for any report
nothing happens. There are no errors in the event log or any that are
produced by Access. I have recreated my profile for the machine and I can
preview the report 2 or 3 times and then it stops working. I have also
uninstalled and reinstalled with the same results. Any ideas what the issue
could be? I am fully patched for Windows and Office. Also the database is
being stored on a server in the same domain I am logged into. Any help would
be appreciated.

It really does not sound like it, but you may want to make sure there is
a default printer specified and available, even if you don't plan to print.

That was it. I had a shared printer set as the default and when I switched
to local printer it work. Interesting. Thank you

Access needs to know the abilities of the printer so it knows how wide
the report can be and how often it needs to make page breaks.
