Can not open Windows programs aftwer few days of operation

Hi

I have recently bought a new notebook with Windows Vista installed. SP1 is
also installed.

After few days in operation it is suddenly not possible to open some Windows
programs like System, Administration, or i.e. Properties if I right click on
My Computer. After a reinstallation it works fine again some days, and then
the problem comes back again.

In order to try to find the problem I after a re-installation tried to
create two new users:

- One with Adminstrator rights
- One with normal user rights

This in order to check whether the trights disappeared from both users at
the same time. After three days both users lost their rights to open
miscellaneous windows programs.

I have further tried to re-install and not install any 3rd party programs -
in order to see whether a 3rd party programm could cause this problem. After
few days with only e-mail and normal surfing with Internet Explorer the
problem came back again.

I do really have my back against the wall now and need help. Can anyone out
there suggest something to try in order tosolve this problem.

Best regards

Still under warranty? Perhaps still within the store return period? Take it
back to where you purchased it and have them either fix or replace it. Your
Vista is OEM, so the laptop manufacturer is responsible for that, as well.
