Hi All,

I am using Outlook 2002 and when I receive a attachement that is a .exe
file, Outlook blocks it and I can not open it. Is there a setting I can
change that will allow this type of attachemets. I need this to be able to
send probrams to and from my office.

Log in to OWA and download the attachment to your local system. Then you
can view the attachment and resend if need be.

Hi Sue,
I did that but when I get to the area of the string they tell me to go
to, I do not see where I change values. I am very nervious changing
anything in the registry.

Hi Jeff,
Since this feature is turned on by default as a last security effort, I
prefer to leave this turned on in the registry. So what I do whenever I
have a user who gets an EXE and wants to view it, I just have them log into
Outlook Web Access (OWA), the web mail for your Exchange server. This way
the security is intact and the users can still get their email with little
intervention from an admin. If you all are not running Exchange, check with
your admin to see if there is another web mail program you could go through.
HTH.

If you're nervous editing the registry, then use one of the free programs available to help with this.

This behavior can be controlled by a registry value. See =
